Job Description:

• Develop web applications that are used by hundreds of thousands of high school, undergraduate, and graduate students annually

• Create and enhance software tools that are used by the top universities in the nation

• Work in a casual environment alongside other developers who are passionate about their craft

The candidate will be working on a variety of projects, including:

• Enhancing and extending Liaison`s existing Ruby on Rails web applications

• Creating new applications leveraging Ruby on Rails and other open source technologies

• Developing standardized modules and tools for our code library to speed our time to market

• Helping us develop a solid release/deployment management framework

What you`ll need for this position

• 1+ years of MVC-based web application development experience, including proven experience in Ruby on Rails

• Solid SQL experience (developing queries and stored procedures)

• Experience with the Apache/Linux environment

• Working knowledge/experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS/AJAX

• Understanding of source control systems (Subversion / Git a plus)

• Experience working in a dynamic, client-driven development environment

• Ability to work well independently and within a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
