Ruby on Rails Jobs

Ruby on Rails Developers required by my client one of Europes largest local review sites who can boast 18 million visitors per month to be based in central Hamburg.

The team is currently 8 strong and we are looking to significantly increase that team by 4 more additional developers to support the increased traffic and number of products being offered.

We are looking for people who are fun, friendly and strong communicators to join the team.

Requirements:

At least 2 years experience software development, preferably in a web environment dealing with large datasets and traffic.

Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of team, self-motivated to solve difficult problems.

Strong Ruby on Rails experience essential, fluency in this technology would be preferred.

SQL experience, particularly MySQL would be a plus.

Lucene/SOLR experience a plus.

iPhone or Android development experience a plus.

Experience of working with agile methodologies a plus.

BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, MS or PhD preferred.

English speaking is essential. German advantageous.
